About MEPVirtual and its developer
MEPVirtual is an independent engineering learning and reference platform developed by Eng. Mannan Maqsood, an electrical engineer with over 20 years of experience in building services and infrastructure projects in the UAE and New Zealand.
Engineering experience behind the platform
His work includes electrical design coordination, technical submittal review, site supervision, quality assurance, and testing and commissioning. The platform brings these tasks together through interactive labs, checklists, calculation examples and system diagrams.
Who the platform is for
Students can explore how a system behaves. Site engineers can practise checks before an inspection. Designers and reviewers can compare assumptions and use the tools as a starting point for documented project calculations.
Independent engineering reference
MEPVirtual is not an authority, certification body or manufacturer approval service. References to DEWA, other UAE authorities, AS/NZS or international standards identify the engineering context. They do not imply endorsement or permission to use a tool as a certified design method.
Content and corrections
The labs use simplified models where appropriate for training. Some reference libraries and tools require an internet connection; offline availability depends on previously cached resources. Read the assumptions within each module and the editorial approach before project use.
For a correction or question, use the contact form and identify the module and issue. For worked calculation explanations, visit the learning guides.
