Editorial approach and engineering limitations
MEPVirtual aims to explain engineering decisions in a way that users can inspect and question. A calculator result is only as useful as its inputs, model and evidence.
Examples and calculation assumptions
Learning guides distinguish hypothetical teaching values from manufacturer data. They show units and calculation steps, and identify checks that the example does not complete. A worked example is not a product selection, an approved design or proof of compliance.
Standards and authority references
Check the applicable edition, amendments, authority instructions and project specification. Summaries and question banks help learning but do not replace the original standard. Manufacturer ratings, correction factors and discharge curves must apply to the actual proposed product.
Engineering review before use
Final calculations, equipment selections and installation decisions require review by the professionals responsible for the project. Dates on pages identify content changes; they do not certify that every standard reference or formula has been independently validated on that date.
Corrections
Use the contact form to provide the page name, input values, observed result and supporting reference. Reproducible details make a correction easier to assess. Never send confidential project information through a public feedback form.
Advertising and independence
This package has no active advertising loader or ad placements. Publisher identification and ads.txt support account setup; they do not indicate Google approval. Advertising, if introduced, must be clearly separated from engineering controls and recommendations, with the privacy and consent arrangements updated.
