Healthcare Electrical Lab
Hospital power from the room to the generator. Classify rooms, size medical IT systems, check bonding, and watch a mains failure play out second by second.

A lot of healthcare problems on site trace back to one thing: nobody agreed the room classification early. Get the clinical team to sign a schedule of every room and its Group or area type before the first SLD is drawn. It drives the IT panels, the bonding, the essential supply and the cost.
A medical IT system does not make faults go away. It turns the first one into an alarm so the operation can finish. If alarms are muted and forgotten, the second fault trips the circuit anyway. Put the repeat alarm where someone will act on it, and test it.
A generator that starts on the test button can still fail to take the load. Commission with a real mains failure, a load bank and a stopwatch on each branch. Record the voltage and frequency dip at the first block of load.
CT, MRI and cath lab vendors care about impedance, not just current. Ask for the site planning guide at concept stage, because the feeder size and transformer choice are hard to change later.
Topics: medical IT systems, IMD and LIM, Group 0/1/2, body-protected and cardiac-protected areas, NFPA 99 categories, essential electrical system, changeover classes, supplementary bonding, selectivity, generator step loading, UPS autonomy, imaging source impedance.
